But, it suffers from the downfall of all multi-taskers: it performs all the tasks, but none very well.The build is heavy duty, and I would not hesitate to take this knife on a camping or hunting trip - in my tool box or kept in a vehicle. This knife did not work well for me clipped to the inside of my jeans pocket for everyday use - it is large and bulky, so forget about using the pocket for anything bedsides carrying the knife. The clip is too far towards the middle of the knife causing the knife to stick up high out of the pocket, which makes it easily noticed and I found it to be in the way. I could not get the fire-starter to start a fire to save my life. I've used magnesium matches before, but this one just didn't work. It sparked, but not enough make straw or dry shavings to light or smolder. Maybe I got a bad one...
