i bought this kit almost ten years ago...(the cups back then were blue). it has come on every camping trip ive been on since and has been a great mess kit. over the years ive lost the plasic cups, but they werent too helpful anyways. it has held up very well, seeing what i put it through each trip. eventually the plasic on the handles will become a bit brittle, but i usually bring along a pot holder anyways, which makes that a non-issue. the set fits together very well and the copper bottoms help with heat distribution. i gave it 4 stars because its great but not perfect. the handles fold out of the way well, but eventually the plastic wears out. the plasic cups are CHEAP-but who cares. the sack mine came in was plasic (useless)...and im not sure if thats changed- if not, id suggest getting a mesh stuff sack. overall, this is a great set for camping-its too heavy for backpacking. the stainless steel is a welcome change to anyone used to using aluminum. So far, so good. The copper bottoms are terrific, distributing heat more evenly, which helps campfire food cook more evenly and quickly. The stainless steel is awesome too: No non-stick coats to worry about scratching up with my ad-hoc stirrer (i.e., a stick or some silverware)--not to mention that stainless steel gives me way more assurance of long-term safety compared with aluminum, which has been linked to early onset of Alzheimer's. In addition to all the pots fitting snugly into each other, this mess kit comes with a little bag, too, for super-easy storage.
CON: I have to say, the material the handles are coated with is a touch (OK, totally) nonsensical, since it can easily melt if directly over a fire too long. Take care to keep the handles at the edge of your roaring flames, and use a cloth to handle them while cooking. But overall, a GREAT value for the price.

This is my second purchase of this item. My first set "walked away". I liked it enough to buy another one, and that is saying alot. This set will hold up to a campfire, and will not disintigrate like the cheap and thin aluminum sets. Everything fits into the largest pot so space is not a big issue. The extra weight is made up in durability and functionality. You are not going to feed a family with this set unless you have to, but this is not designed for that. The base of the pots have copper coating and thus transfer heat quickly and evenly, a real plus. If it gets destroyed after a few harsh uses, so what, not like you paid hundreds for it. Titanium is nice and all, but you better be rich!
All and all this set performs well in the field. The cups are measuring cups too, nice little bonus. Comes with a carrying satchel as well. I would recommend this to friends and family and not regret it.
