It packs down very small in the attached stuff sack, but is an adequate size when inflated. The velour top and memory foam provide you with a very comfortable feel and keeps your head from sliding off, while the woven shock cord gives you the ability to make it higher if desired. I found the inflated height more than adequate for my tastes. In hindsight, I wish I had gone for the larger size and those who toss and turn a lot should consider that, but this size is will work fine for most & is preferable if weight and compactness are an issue. Looks like my NEMO Fillo pillow has solved all of these problems! From the first night, I have not used my memory foam pillow, since the Fillo out-classes it by far. The support is firm, size is great, whether making the bed or packing in suitcase or using on the couch or as a lumbar support in the home or car. I will use it during motorcycle camping, where size and weight are major considerations.
